Best place to farm these is going to be crawler's nest. Follow this map
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Crawlers%27_Nest/Maps Go to point A, then straight south to the drop down to find the labyrinth lizards. Level 49-51. Wouldn't recommend soloing them pre 65. Mad links and they will aggro (only lizards to my knowledge that do). Will drop 1-5 eggs 100% of the time along with 1-3 skins 75% and a tail. Easy money
There are only 6 lizards at this spot, atlas says there are 12 total in CN, anyone knows where the other 12 are? Can't seem to find them and I don't have the map <.<.
Edit for above: I finally found the other 6, take the 2nd tunnel from the left, you'll arrive to a similar room where the other 6 lizzies are. I can't stress how good the drop rates are on these mobs, I've got as much as 8 items drop on a single lizard.
Using thf 1 does improve the drop rate of skins enough to notice it in the crawlers nest zone. They also drop the chest key which is good for 6-7k or an 11k npc'd axe if you are lucky. Some of the chest spawns are in same area as lizzies.
